After reading the first three chapters of The Streets of London (Justice for Alethea) set in Georgian England, an acquisitions director at a well-known publishing house has invited me to send her the full manuscript, which has been undergoing edits and revisions. Please pray that I'll meet the deadline, which is mid-October. Clean Historical Romance Author Sophie Leigh Fox, Sandy's Writing Desk, & September's Historical Fiction Autumn Give Away!
In addition to this, I'm preparing a proposal for A Love Worth More Than Gold (Love Lost and Love Found) set in the late 19th century in America, Alaska (not part of the States at this time) and the Yukon. This proposal is for a literary agent who is respected in the industry and would be a phenomenal partner on this writing journey.
I'm working at full speed and many hours a day on these projects. Without a literary agent, it would be unlikely for the publishing house to offer a contract. However, if they like The Streets of London, it may encourage this literary agent to take a chance on me, a debut author. Please pray that the Lord will give me the wisdom to follow the path He has for me and my stories.
