A Christmas Treat

A Christmas Poem—
Christmas Night by Sandy Kay Slawson

This poem is one I wrote a few years ago but have recently revised. A writer can always edit their work no matter how many times he or she has gone over a piece. 😄 In any case, I hope this free-style poem lifts your eyes to the Reason for the season.

A Christmas Treat—
Traditional English Christmas Trifle

If you saw my social media post last week about the old Christmas hymn, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," then you know how much I enjoy finding songs written long ago that we still sing today. The same is true for discovering recipes that are adaptable to our more modern and convenience-based styles of cooking. This recipe is one such find. If you make it, I'd love to hear how you like it. I'm hoping to try it with Bird's Custard Powder, as one English baker suggested.

A Gift in January 2026 (Lord willing)
My short story, Cowboy Up, the second-place winner in the Florida Christian Writers Conference Sonshine Awards for Short Stories, is on its way! Look for the cover reveal and ebook GIVEAWAY in January 2026!
