Christmas Joy

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season. I have attended a Christmas tree lighting downtown and a Christmas parade so far. My husband and I have been having great fun with the kids and grandkids. I appreciate that you've come to spend part of the season with me.

In today's post, I want to spread a little Christmas Joy and share a few of my favorites. Stick with me to the end. I plan to give a short update on my writing journey.

Christmas Poems

"What can I give Him, Poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb; If I were a wise man, I would do my part: Yet what I can I give Him, Give my heart." -Christina G. Rossetti

"A little child,

A shining star,

A stable rude,

The door ajar.

Yet in that place,

So crude, forlorn,

The Hope of all the world was born."

-Poet Unknown

Christmas Songs

I have so many Christmas songs I love, but a couple stand out as being two I look forward to hearing again and again over the season. What are some of your favorites?

Christmas Books

Want to spend some time reading over the holidays? Here are some good Christmas time stories.

Christmas Movies

Lastly, here are a few of my favorite Christmas movies.

Updates

My next fiction proposal should go out this week. I've handed it over for a family member to check for errors. After I make any corrections, I'll send it to the Literary Agent. Please pray God's Will for my first novel, Hope for Charity. You may or may not have heard that during NaNoWriMo last month, I finished the first draft of my second novel tentatively named Love Lost and Love Found and began its sequel. The process with my first novel has taken so long, I have decided to send the second novel off to an editor. I want to go over it once more myself and let a couple beta readers check it out for me and then I plan to send it to the editor that asked for it at ACFW 2019. I'll let you know when I have new information.

January 13th

This is such a busy time of the year, I won't be able to post again until January 13th. I hope you all have a wonderful time this Christmas season and have a very Happy New Year! I'll leave you with one more poem and this will be my prayer for you. May the Lord God bless you and your family with faith, hope and love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

May the best gifts of Christmas be yours: The gift of love. The gift of hope. The gift of joy. The gift of peace. The gift of happiness. The gift of Jesus! -Kate Summers

In Christ,

Sandy
