Historical Today

Welcome to my new blog home. You can still go back and read my older blogs, but I plan to make this my new blog home. Remember to subscribe to my website, so you'll be updated when I post or for other news and updates.

I want us to visit the place my novel begins, Husthwaite, North Yorkshire, England. This village still thrives, even though its beginning was around AD 867, when the Danes invaded York. Such a long history must be filled with stories. I just want to get a glimpse of the village and surrounding area and see how it looks today, though. Come join me for a peek at this place where history lives on.

"This is a small and precious gem of an early mid-12th century Norman church and is relatively unaltered from its original form."

Orchards of Husthwaite...

Let's look at some of the cottages around Husthwaite...

How about a place to eat or sleep?

The Den at Husthwaite and Tomahawk Steakhouse look good to me.

Lastly, enjoy these pictures of the countryside...

I hope you've enjoyed this glimpse into the historical Husthwaite of today. Thanks for coming! Feel free to browse my site. It's a work in progress, but I'd love for you to see some of the updates I've been making.

May the Lord God bless you and your family with Faith, Hope and Love in Jesus' Name.
